Weapon X:
Bunch of mercenary types to team up with David and help occupy the X-Men, and help set up an initial mismatch, and then help isolate the Logan brothers against each other without punking everyone else, and letting the whole team have some moments.
They can, of course, be recurring villains beyond the first plot as well.
Still need someone to icon them and such, and a utility journal... but here's the write-ups, intended to be a good challenge for the X'er roster we have.
David (per the PC)
Hairtrigger: Kayleigh Forrester is a speedster, augmented and armed by Weapon-X. Found young, she was kidnapped from her parents when she began demonstrating very mild super-speed at age 10. She now remembers nothing of her past, and is significantly more powerful.
Able to run at up to MACH 4, and with similarly boosted reaction times, she also possesses a Weapon-X style healing factor - tied to her speed powers. While she heals rapidly, it tires her to do so if she takes too much injury.
She has been armed with a pair of full-auto energy pistols with trigger mechanisms that can keep up with her reflexes, letting her fill wide areas with super-speed weapons fire.
Siphon: Mark Maeder was attacked by a vampire - which he survived, but it triggered his latent mutation. He copied most of the abilities of the creature - and now, by drinking blood, can temporarily gain a portion of the powers of other mutants.
He inherently has middling superhuman strength and speed, along with a healing factor. He has a hypnotic gaze that will work on those of average will or less, and sometimes distract others. Likewise, he is resistant, but not immune to most conventional injury.
Sunlight will not kill him, but when direct, it is painful, thus Weapon-X has supplied him with a full body suit.
When he drinks the blood of mutants or most superhumans, he gains powers equal in potency to about one half of theirs for a 24 hour period.
Sleeping Sickness: Raised by a cult as a demon worshipping witch, Tanzi Ngoye, though a mutant, largely considers her powers to be blessings from a dark lord. While she creeps out some of her co-workers, after authorities shut down the cult, Weapon X saw her as too valuable to waste, and recruited her - especially because of her effectiveness against people like Logan.
Specifically, Tanzi has the Weapon X boosted healing factor, but her natural power is producing and emitting a number of toxins by exhaling poisonous gases.
She can produce spores which fatigue people, and may even put some to sleep.
She can produce nausea-inducing spores which dizzy and sicken people.
Her most directly damaging attacks the circulatory system, causing people to bleed internally, and violently cough up blood.
While people could produce other toxins with these effects, what makes her poison and mutant gift especially potent and valued is that her power is actually MORE effective, by far, against people with non-magical healing factors - her spores somehow bonding to their systems and being rushed through them to have more drastic effect instead of being recognized and fought as an invader. All of her toxins are specifically two to three times MORE effective against people like Wolverine and Deadpool with mutant healing gifts than they are against an average person.
Bloodbath: Yuri Nokovich is Weapon X's current most successful 'brick', possessing super strength sufficient to lift 60 tons, and invulnerability to most conventional weapons short of rocket launchers or tank shells. However, above his baseline, Yuri is a psychic vampire - as he and his allies inflict damage on others, he heals. If he inflicts the harm, the healing to his wounds and fatigues is equal to about half the damage he inflicts. He can absorb and heal from suffering caused by others, but only at about one quarter of that rate - growing stronger, in either case, as his enemies weaken.
Merciless: Mercy Mathers is the daughter of one of the current directors of Weapon X, and has spent her entire life training to be an operative. She is one of the deadliest and most well-rounded combatants in the world, a master of a variety of weapons both modern and archaic, master of multiple martial arts forms. She does possess the Weapon X enhancement healing factor, but her primary ability is being a toe to toe match with Logan-family types, Punishers, etc. in a normal fight.
